This glass wall art mural was commissioned for a private residence — a 7-foot hand-cut smalti glass wall art installation depicting a Gulf of Mexico bird sanctuary, complete with herons, egrets, pelicans, and roseate spoonbills in a marshland setting. It stands as one of the most complex residential glass wall art commissions in our portfolio.
The Gorski glass wall art mural was designed from an original nature painting provided by the client, scaled to 7 feet wide and fabricated entirely in hand-cut Mexican smalti glass. Over 40,000 individual tesserae were cut and placed to render the bird plumage, water reflections, and marsh vegetation. As a glass wall art installation, it is permanently bonded to the interior wall surface using polymer-modified mortar and will require no maintenance for the life of the structure.
If you are interested in commissioning a glass wall art mural for a residential or commercial space, the process begins with a consultation where we review your space dimensions, existing artwork or source imagery, and installation requirements. We produce a scaled design rendering for approval before any fabrication begins.
