Custom mosaic for Texas pools

Mosaiclegs Art Studio makes custom mosaic for pools, spas and interiors across Texas — Austin and the Hill Country, Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth and San Antonio. We work with pool builders, architects and designers, and directly with owners on private commissions.

On Lake Austin

A geometric glass mosaic pool and spa inspired by the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, with a bridge over a lap lane, a swim-up bar and an octagonal spa. See the Lake Austin pool.

We have also worked with an Austin design firm on a second commission in the city, and on projects elsewhere in the state.

Heat, sun and the occasional freeze

Glass mosaic is non-porous and colorfast, so color holds up to Texas sun and pool chemistry. The glass itself is unaffected by a hard freeze; what matters in North Texas winters is the installation around it. Our page on Glass Mosaic in Freezing Climates covers it.

Shipped ready to set

Every mosaic leaves our studio paper-faced in numbered sections keyed to a setting drawing, ready for your tile setter. You get a numbered shop drawing before anything is cut, physical samples to confirm color, and progress photographs through fabrication.

What we make

  • Waterline borders — Greek key, acanthus scroll, geometric and gradient designs

  • Pool floor medallions — sea turtles, family crests, Greco-Roman designs, 30 in. to 12 ft

  • All-tile pool interiors — floor, walls, steps and waterline

  • Architectural murals — interior and exterior, residential and public
