Mosaiclegs Art Studio makes hand-cut mosaic for luxury pools, murals and interiors across Orange County — Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach, Coto de Caza, Irvine, Dana Point, San Clemente, Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo. We work with pool builders, architects and designers, and directly with owners on private commissions.
Built for coastal conditions
Smalti and vitreous glass are non-porous, UV-stable and chemical-resistant — they hold color and bond for decades in salt air and full sun, where plaster chalks and standard tile delaminates.
Most work is smalto, Venetian glass, with smalti where a design needs fine detail; the material is whatever the project calls for. We also work in tumbled and honed marble and gold-leaf glass.

How a commission runs
Send the finished dimensions, the substrate and a reference image. You get a numbered shop drawing before anything is cut, physical samples to confirm color, and progress photographs through fabrication. Smaller pieces run 3–6 weeks from design approval and larger ones 6–16 weeks.
Setting
We fabricate; setting is a separate trade. Your mosaic arrives paper-faced in numbered sections keyed to a setting drawing, ready for a tile setter. Most clients use their own — and if you don’t have one, we work with installers throughout Orange County who coordinate with pool builders on schedule.

Over 250,000 individual mosaic pieces. Custom Venetian scroll design hand-cut in 5 shades of blue smalti glass, with gold leaf accents. The hand-painted tile shown above was used as the design inspiration for the finished pool and spa.
